An idea I had pondered for a long time was designing a dress out of two shirts, by kind of mirroring them. The problem was, obviously, that if I joint them per se, the person who wore it would have been confined in a straitjacket. An then, if I simply detached the lower shirt's sleeves, I had to make slits, right?
Of course I went an extra mile in the process and used two shirts, plus a bit.
Because I want my creations to be #genderless, I came up with tricks this time as well. So, I kept the idea of an adjustable shoulder line, and the piece has the ability to tie at the torso, for someone who is smaller.
DidaNina was created by designer Ian Zamfir-Enache, who moved to Canada from Romania in 2018. A trained designer, Ian's passion lies in creating a 100% zero-waste couture brand that will help reduce human consumption, while igniting the brightest creative spark through clothing!
